The Tech Model Railroad Club of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology

The TMRC, was founded during the 1946-1947 school year and is one of the oldest model railroad clubs in the United States. The TMRC has many areas of interest including a permanent HO scale layout, the fictional Tech Nickel Plate Railroad, the MITCo trolley line, their custom made control system, the System 3, videos made with their camera cars as well as many construction, scenery and layout photos.

The California Southern Model Railroad Club was formed in 1984 with the merger of the North Orange County Modular Railroaders and the Cerritos Valley Model Railroad Club. The purpose was to build and operate a HO scale railroad for the enjoyment of its members. Construction began shortly after acquiring suitable quarters for a model railroad.
